Seriously now being the only uni not in the nz union of students association is incredibly disappointing. Students are stronger together. At the moment the ucsa is more of an events company than a union

The UCSA along with AUT and Waikato are not members of NZUSA. Auckland University has just made the decision to leave NZUSA at their last AGM.  Through this time, we are speaking with these associations about what national student voice could look like. We are committed to and support a national student voice, but we want to understand how this can be effective for us, as the UCSA, so we can better represent you, our members.

We really hope this helps to clarify the situation and thanks again for taking the time to get in touch, we really appreciate it.
