DESCRIPTION:In the wake of Friday’s events\, Red Bull Paper Wings at University of Canterbury will be postponed until Thursday 28th March\, as a mark of respect to those that have lost their lives. ❤ \n*** \nIt’s been four years\, but the Red Bull Paper Wings comp is coming back to UC. This is your invite to the Canterbury qualifier round – part of a global event that you don’t want to miss. \nThis year the goal is to create an even larger impact than ever before with a new generation of students. The idea is simple and ingenious: “Make a plain sheet of paper fly as far\, as long\, or as acrobatically through the air as possible!” \nAll national winners of the three categories – Longest Distance\, Longest Airtime\, and Aerobatics – will be invited to the World Final in Austria in the iconic Hangar-7\, where the world champions will be crowned.

DESCRIPTION:LAWSOC & Lane Neave Tennis Day is back for the second year running! \nAn afternoon filled with some light hearted serious competition\, a few drinks\, some snags (hash browns for the vegetarians out there)\, and A LOT of fun! \nFor those of you who do wish to compete\, there will be a registration form available for you to sign up through (it will be a doubles competition\, so find your most tennis-ly talented friend now). \nA bus will provided to get to the location\, and will leave the foundry carpark at 2.30pm. DESCRIPTION:MONO Nights are our weekly gig nights\, hosted in the Foundry every Thursday during term time. \nFree for UC students (hell\, it is their bar ffs) and with a minimal door charge for their mates – which goes straight into our giant profit making machine… \nJokes – it pays for some of the best local and international acts that we can afford and convince to stop off on a Thursday night. Last year’s artists can be seen  and the most up to date info on who is playing next can be found at the @MONOnights facebook page. \nBring your proof of age ID and UC Student card to skip the door fee – no card means no freebies. UC Security is open pretty much 24/7 so if you lost it\, go get another one you cheapskate.
