DESCRIPTION:In the mid-1970s\, people from the Pacific Islands were targeted by the New Zealand Government and scapegoated for the economic crisis of the time. The Government introduced the practice of dawn raids\, allowing police and immigration officials to break into the homes of Pacific Island people in the early hours of the morning and demand proof of residency\, permits\, and passports. This was a terrifying and humiliating experience for many people. Powerful and insightful\, The Dawn Raids – Educate to Liberate seeks to inform and educate others about a little-known event in New Zealand history.

Nilakant is an Associate Professor in the UC Business School\, specialising in organisational change and resilience. He has written three books on change management and has consulted widely to a number of organisations in New Zealand\, Australia\, Malaysia and India. Nilakant also shares a real interest is spirituality. He has been a serious spiritual seeker for the last 25 years and has written six books on his experiences. DESCRIPTION:MUSOC presents How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying! \nWe are proud to present our debut performance in the Ngaio Marsh Theatre at Haere-Roa\, the new UCSA building\, in celebration of MUSOC’s 50th anniversary. \nHow to Succeed is a satirical look at the world of big business. Sex\, greed\, money\, ambition… it’s just another day at the office for this quirky cast of characters. The show chronicles the rise\, fall\, and rise of J Pierrepont Finch as he follows the instructions in his “little book”\, as well as his own daring\, to find success and love (but mainly success). \nShow season Friday 20th September – Saturday 28 September\, 2019. \nGala Night – Friday 20th September\, following the show.\nWe invite our audience to celebrate our performance season.
