The Back Yard Cricket Society is at heart a society built on the principles of back yard cricket. A simple game played with a plastic bat and some sticks in the ground has given way to what is now a key club at the University of Canterbury.
Founded in 2005 the club is now a highlight for many students and hosts a number of barbecues throughout the year, a cricket tournament and a legendary flat crawl. We look forward to showing you what BYC stands for – Beers, Yarns and Cricket.
