UC Aerospace is a club dedicated to pushing the limits of flight on campus and beyond, by creating opportunities for students of all disciplines to be involved in aerospace projects. Our members are exposed to hands-on engineering problems through a variety of club projects, including the design, manufacture, and safe operation of aerospace vehicles and systems.

Our projects include building flight-worthy vehicles from the ground up with cutting-edge materials and manufacturing techniques. Control mechanisms, composite airframe manufacture and solid-fuel motor production are a sample of specialisations that contribute towards our projects.

We run an Introduction to Rocketry course for new members in which small teams can build and fly a ¼ scale patriot rocket at our launch days. Also, in 2022 we are competing in the Spaceport America Cup, the most prestigious intercollegiate student rocketry competition in the world.
