UCheer is the University of Canterbury Cheerleading Club. We are open to all UC students and anyone over the age of 17. Over the course of the year, we learn new cheerleading skills and put together a routine to perform at several national competitions. Being the first university cheerleading club in NZ, we have played a foundational role in helping other kiwi university cheer clubs establish themselves. Skills practiced include stunting, tumbling, jumps, and dance. We are always open to new athletes and aspiring cheerleaders as no previous experience is required!
