Motosoc is the club for anyone and everyone with a love for all things with a motor! We host a huge range of events throughout the year, catering for every niche in the automotive world.
For those who simply want to go out and enjoy the open road, we host Social Drives every term, with a few other special drives dotted throughout the year.
While motorbikes and cars are welcome to Social Drives, we also offer bike-specific events. These include (but aren’t limited to) Social Rides and skills training days with professional instructors!
Want to go beyond the speed limits of the public road? We have on offer the cheapest track days in New Zealand! They are held once every term at Ruapuna Raceway and any road-legal vehicle can be taken on track so long as it passes a basic safety inspection. This is the safest way there is to go fast. The track is fit for national-level motorsport, and marshalls are stationed at multiple points around the track to ensure safety.
If you’d rather get off the blacktop and go explore the countryside, we’ve got you covered too! At least once a term we organise a 4WD trip out of the city, either to tackle some tracks for the day, or to spend a night out in the wilderness. It’s not hardcore offroading, just a bit of fun on a budget!
No vehicle? No worries! Just come along to whatever events pique your interest and we will make sure to find you a seat. Not everything we do directly involves driving either. We always make room for a few social events, such as BBQ’s and Quiz Nights.
There are absolutely no prerequisites to joining – you don’t need any expertise or to even own a vehicle to join! As long as you share our passion for all things automotive, you’ll fit right in!
