This Performance will feature L A Mitchell stripping back her soul set to show case her voice & piano and the voices of her three backing vocalists, Kate Taylor, Roz Ulaula and Vai Punivai. You can expect to hear a collection of her well know songs from Fly My Pretties; some soul favourites she loves and a small collection of new material all re-imagined for the intimacy of 4 voices and a piano.

L A Mitchell has been a stealth operator in New Zealand Music , her credentials will surprise you, having performed support for Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder and Guy Sebastian. Worked alongside Dave Dobbyn, Bic Runga, Tim Finn, Anna Coddington & Sola Rosa & Dukes. Her name in New Zealand is synonymously connected with the juggernaut group, ‘Fly My Pretties’ backed by Black Seeds front man, Barnaby Weir and for many her Live at the Matterhorn release was a sensation in the underground soul audience that still holds a great connection to fans of the record. Her most recent work has been with her Husband, Matt Barus, on their duo project Terrible Sons. They’ve quietly amassed over 18million streams and over 146,000 people listening each month to the duos acoustic indie folk. She has also been nominated for the Apra Silver Scroll top 20 list 3 times. Though she may walk quietly in an industry that often yells she is known as a mighty musician with a mighty voice and known in the industry by her peers as a musician with a serious knowledge about her craft.
