UC Careers: What they can offer International Students

Hi,

It’s Mastine here, your International Representative for the UCSA, with a word on UC Careers.

I know some of you are almost at the end of your degrees and looking into full-time jobs or internships. I would highly recommend booking an appointment with UC Careers and here are a Careers Support messaging from the UC Careers team:

How can the Careers team help me?

We’re a friendly team, and our qualified consultants can help you build your employability skills while you study. Our services are free to all UC students and recent graduates, so connect with us early and often!

As an international student, you are a valued part of our community and have much to offer the Aotearoa New Zealand workforce. While Covid-19 has been challenging, we encourage you to stay motivated and take confidence in your adaptability and resilience – the skills employers will indeed find valuable.

Talk with our qualified consultants to get help with exploring career pathways, job-hunting strategies, CV, applications, LinkedIn, and interview practice. You might also want some help to better understand the New Zealand recruitment process and work culture, and our team can help with this too.

Feel free to contact us at careers@canterbury.ac.nz or book an appointment for a one-on-one consultation.
