COVID-19/Coronavirus: What’s Happening To MONO?

Kia ora,

Due to the changing situation around COVID-19/Coronavirus and public gatherings, we’ve made the decision to cancel MONO for the foreseeable future, which at this stage is for the rest of Semester 1. We know that this may be a bit disappointing for some of you, but it’s a necessary step because your wellbeing is our top priority – you can’t practice social distancing in the mosh pit!

At this time, we ask that you all make sure you are conducting yourself in a considerate manner, and you’re conscious of others in our community. These values are particularly important while there is a level of uncertainty regarding COVID-19. Please look after yourselves, and those around you and be kind. And if you’re thinking of organising a party or something similar, we’d urge you to seriously think twice.

We’ll continue to monitor the situation and we’ll keep you updated on MONO when we have more information to share, and will look to resume MONO as soon as it’s appropriate to do so! We strongly encourage you to keep up to date with the COVID-19 situation via the UC Website so you are safe. Take care.

Nāku, nā
Tori McNoe – Tumuaki/President
