How to: Private Flat Parties Under Red
Got a flat party coming up? Here are a few things you should know about doing them under Red Level!
More info on Covid-19.govt.nz ❤️
Group limits: Private gatherings at home
At Red level, Gatherings at home or a private dwelling are limited to 100 people if everyone has a My Vaccine Pass.
Gatherings are limited to 25 people if My Vaccine Passes aren’t being used.
Masks
You don’t need to wear a face mask when gathering in a private home.
But you are encouraged to wear one whenever you leave your home. And you must wear a face mask at a gathering if the defined space is shared with other groups or members of the public.
Food & drink
You can serve food and drink at your private gathering at home. People don’t need to sit down to consume it.
Our tip: Look after your mates and make sure their fed and hydrated if they’re drinking alcohol.
Keep up healthy habits …
Don’t let it get gross
Remind guests to stay home if they’re sick.
Make sure there’s access to hand sanitizer & soap.
And Retire the beer funnel – it ain’t the time.
Record keeping
It’s still a good idea to keep a record of guests.
A great way to do this is to create a COVID Tracer App QR code: https://qrform.tracing.covid19.govt.nz/createposter/get-started
It’s easy and only takes a few minutes to fill in the form.
Register with Good One
This one’s not a red level rule, just our tip: it’s a great idea to register with GoodOne.org.nz in case things get hairy. They also have tips on keeping things safe and fun.
Less drama, more party.
Getting home safely
If you’ve been hitting the beers, make sure you’ve locked in a sober driver, an uber or taxi (and remember you’ll need a face mask for the ride).
Side note: be aware of the liquor ban.
